Third social audit activities of the Rural Infrastructure Development Project conducted

As part of the Rural Infrastructure Development Project of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan third social audits were conducted in the Namangan region.

The events took place in the Citizens’ Mahalla Assemblies “Margizor” and “Vodiy” of Pap District, as well as in the “Dehkanabad” MCA of Chust District.

The purpose of these events was to study the population’s opinion on the effectiveness of the subprojects implemented under the RIDP program and the investments directed toward them, as well as to analyze the mechanisms for the further operation and maintenance of the facilities.

The social audit events, conducted under the guidance of rural facilitators, were attended by representatives of local hokimiyats, involved project organizations and contractors, members of mahalla development groups and public monitoring groups, as well as residents of the villages.
