Follow-up meeting held to discuss cooperation with World Bank representatives

A meeting was held between the Joint Projects Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of the World Bank.

During the meeting, key issues related to the implementation of the next phase of the “Rural Infrastructure Development Project” (RIDP-2) were discussed. The parties agreed on priority tasks aimed at improving living conditions for populations residing in the most remote and underserved areas of the country.

In addition, the financial terms of the new phase and transparent mechanisms for fund utilization were reviewed. Measures to ensure the phased implementation of each selected subproject, as well as strict adherence to implementation schedules, were also discussed.
It was agreed that in the new phase of the project, primary focus will continue to be placed on critical sectors such as drinking water supply, electricity provision, and the construction of modern schools and preschool institutions.
