A working group led by Sanjay Srivastava, Practice Manager for Environmental and Social Standards for the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank, visited Andijan region to review the progress of activities implemented under the Rural Infrastructure Development project of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
During the visit, the experts familiarized themselves with subprojects implemented within the framework of the project in the “Teraktagi” and “Boytupi” mahallas of Pakhtaabad District. In particular, they reviewed the reconstruction and major renovation of Secondary School No. 15 and Preschool educational organization No. 2, as well as the asphalting of internal roads in the area.
Members of the working group also met with representatives of the Mahalla Development Group, who directly participated in the selection of the project. During the discussion, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the project, its outcomes, and the improvements created for local residents.
