Issues regarding the implementation of subprojects implemented by the RIDP under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed

On May 13 this year, PIU representatives held talks with AIIB Senior Investment Specialist Zacarias Ziegelhofer, as well as with World Bank Social Development Specialist Rano Tlepova, at the PIU headquarters. The agenda of the meeting included issues related to the implementation of sub-projects implemented by the IPDP under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan. At the beginning of the negotiations, the Director of the PIU Z. Urakov expressed gratitude to the World Bank, as well as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for the support provided in the implementation of projects to improve the infrastructure of remote villages of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Also, at the talks, the progress of the implementation of subprojects was discussed as well as the problems faced by performers in the process of implementing the action plan and ways to eliminate them. Mr. Ziegelhofer noted that the projects are proceeding according to the implementation plan, and also expressed readiness for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
