"The Rural Infrastructure Development" of the Joint Project Implementation Unit has begun to assist in the process of "green" development of our society

Major repairs were carried out at school No. 19 of the Iftikhor mahalla in the Bayaut district of the Syrdarya region as part of the Rural Infrastructure Development project. This facility was selected as a pilot for testing the application of heat pump technology and conducting a comparative analysis of the economic and social effects of this technology by the Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility (GEF SGP) in Uzbekistan, executed by UNDP. On December 18, the grand opening of the heating system at this school took place, where three heat pumps with a capacity of 340 kW were installed.

In general, the advantages of a heat pump over conventional solid fuel or gas boilers include:

-The most efficient option for energy conversion and efficiency of energy use - at the expense of 1 kW of electrical energy, it is converted into 3.8-5 kW of thermal energy. For comparison, all other heating methods at the expense of 1 kW of energy equivalent will convert it into < 1 kW of heat.
-Projected reduction in heating costs up to 70%
-Runs on clean energy - electricity
-Fire safety, which is important for schools
-Convenience - one (or several) unit(s) can heat the entire school
-Fast installation and start
-Does not require approval for installation
-It does not require additional labor in the form of toppers at school and does not require regular service.
-20-25 years guarantee of the unit operation
