The practical experience of creating a public organization of drinking water supply is being studied

Within the framework of the Rural Infrastructure Development Project, work is underway by the Facilitation Partners ACTED (France)/Yuksalish NM/Taraqqiyot NGO/ISW (Canada) to create public drinking water supply organizations in the Obod and Khairaobod MCAs in Andijan region. In order to study the practical experience of this area, local residents visited the Namangan region.

The working group of makhalla residents got acquainted with the activities of the "Gairat obi-khayot ichimlik suvi" NGO of the Uychi district, Namangan region.

"Gairat obi-hayot ichimlik suvi" NGO was registered in 2017 and serves about 17,000 people living in more than 3,000 households in the "Boyagon", "Olmurut", "Gairat" and "Ittifok" MCAs. The supply of clean drinking water is provided 24/7.

Representatives of the working group had the opportunity to personally get acquainted with the activities of NGO, ask their questions to the leadership.

The acquired practical experience will play an important role in the next step in the creation of a public organization of drinking water supply - the state registration of a new public association and its further functioning.
